PULSE Contemporary Art Fair announced today that Larissa Nowicki, represented by Man & Eve Gallery (London), is the winner of the 2011 PULSE Prize.

Nowicki’s intricate sculptures crafted through carefully woven pages of books have drawn heavy interest through the run of the PULSE fair, including an acquisition by the Maison Particuliére, Brussels, which showed Nowicki’s work this year.

As prizewinner, Nowicki receives a $2500 cash grant and the opportunity to design the limited edition VIP bag distributed at PULSE Contemporary Art Fair next year. The PULSE prize is awarded to outstanding artists selected from the IMPULSE section, which exhibits solo artists seated by the fair’s director, Cornell DeWitt and the PULSE prize committee. She joins previous prize recipients, Duke Riley, Eric Beltz, Emilion Chapela Perez, Philip Gurrey, Chris Natrop, Chen Chien-Jen, Travis Somerville, OK Mountain, Diaz-Torres, David Ellis and Alexander Massouras.

Today is the last day of the PULSE Contemporary Art Fair in Miami.
